It’s been a minute since I shared a fashion post on here, so I thought it was about time I got back to my roots and shared a few new looks with you guys. I recently placed a huge Free People order and was pleasantly surprised with what I received (and most dresses are under £68!). I’m sharing the full haul below with photos, sizing info, and reviews!
FREE PEOPLE SS20 TRY-ON HAUL
Soakin Up The Sun Mini Dress // £48 // Burnt Peach // Size XS
Review: I LOVE this dress – like truly adore it. It runs TTS and is just oh so comfy and light. I can’t wait for warmer weather, I know I’m going to be wearing this non-stop. The Burnt Peach color is gorgeous, a light rust sort of hue, and it’s truly a wear-with-anything neutral. It comes in 7 other colors, so there’s sure to be one to suit your style!
Dream Of You Henley Dress // £68 // Stone // Size XS
Review: At first when I put this dress on, I wasn’t sure about it. It runs huge, you could size down two full sizes in my opinion (if it came in a smaller size, I’d order it). However, the more I wore it the more I liked it. It’s super comfy, and the material is thick and not see through at all. It’s the perfect dress to throw on for around the house or to run the grocery store – and considering that’s all I’m going to be doing for another 6 weeks or more, this dress makes perfect sense.
Living For This Mini Dress // £68 // Bubblegum // Size XS
Review: I absolutely adore this little mini dress. The Bubblegum color is such a pretty pink, and the fabric is light and twirly. The back is pretty open which I love (note you couldn’t wear a traditional bra with this one). The website advertises as being able to style it back to front as well – I’m personally not comfortable showing that much chest, but if you’re smaller busted it makes this dress really versatile! It’s definitely a keeper for me.
Blossom Button-Up T-Shirt Dress // £58 // Muted Charcoal // Size XS
Review: This is a great little dress to throw on and go – I miss days when I needed dresses like that lol! I like the material, it’s thick enough to not be see through but light enough to be perfect for London summer days. It’s a little longer in the back which is always appreciated, and it even has pockets. I don’t love the color I ordered it in, so this ones going back. There’s a peach color I have my eye on that’s out of stock in my size, but I would definitely re-order this dress in that color if it became available!
Simple Beauty Dress // £88 // High Tide // Size XS
Review: I really wanted to love this dress, but the fit was majorly off for me – it runs really big (definitely a theme for Free People!). The armpit holes go so low, I honestly think I’d be worried about a nip slip half the time. The deep blue color is beautiful, and I could see myself wearing this dress on beach in the summer. Unfortunately, the sizing made this one a return for me.
Lotus Midi Dress // £40 // Lovely Leo // Size XS
Review: This dress is the epitome of WFH chic. I love the blush pink hue, the loose and comfy fit, and it even has pockets. However, even with that said, this one is still a return for me. While it’s super comfy for around the house, I don’t feel like this dress would transition well to street wear. It looks too much like a nightgown, and I know I wouldn’t end up wearing it out. At £40, it’s not a bad price. But I just don’t need a dress that I know I’ll only wear around the flat. However, if you’re on the hunt for some cute WFH looks, definitely have a look at this one! Size down a full size.
