I honestly don’t even know how to start this post or what to say other than WOW who pissed 2020 off?! All jokes aside, I hope everyone is staying safe, social distancing, and following all of their local guidelines.
I’ll be the first to admit that I wasn’t taking things very seriously until last week. I was meant to leave for a ski trip to Verbier, Switzerland last Thursday (the day after Trump announced the EU travel ban). While I didn’t have any trips planned back to the US, and the ban didn’t apply to US citizens, this announcement really rattled me. What if while I was away, the UK implemented a similar travel ban and I couldn’t get back to London? I decided to cancel the trip, and by the end of the day Friday Switzerland closed all of it’s ski resorts for the season.
I’m so thankful that I decided to play it safe and not travel, and in the days following things have only escalated further. I know that this feels scary right now, and it’s hard to live in times of uncertainty. None of us have experienced a global pandemic on this scale and it’s completely normal to feel nervous and unsettled. Over the next few weeks I plan to post helpful and relevant content to get us all through this strange time.
If you have any ideas or suggestions on what you’d like to see here, please let me know! What I have planned so far is work from home tips, my favorite online workout classes that you can do from your living room, apartment decor updates, UK travel ideas (for when we’re out of the isolation period), my 2020 book list, spring fashion trends I’m loving, and much much more!
PLEASE stay home if you can, wash your hands, social distance, check in on your friends & family, and check in on your own mental health as well. Not to sound like a song from High School Musical, but seriously guys. We’re all in this together.
xx Mollie
So good hear you’re staying safe in London! I’ve been wondering how things are over there. Would love to hear more about your grad studies (how are you managing online learning?). I’m also getting my masters at a school in the states and am feeling overwhelmed with staying on top of school work remotely!! Thank you xoxo
These truly are some wild times! Good on you for canceling your trip and staying home from Switzerland. I’d love to see an IG skincare routine tutorial!! Sending love from NYC
