Spring Beauty Favorites

Spring Beauty featured by top London beauty blogger Mollie Moore

Over the last few months I’ve tried several new spring beauty and skincare products – some that were huge wins and some that fell flat. Today I’m sharing my favorites with you, as well the product I was the most disappointed by.

SPRING BEAUTY FAVORITES

La Mer The Concentrate: If you splurge on anything from La Mer, let it be the concentrate. It gets it’s name due to it’s high concentrate of the coveted Miracle Broth – the highest of any of their products. I have truly never put anything more amazing on my skin. It goes on like velvet, leaving a soft protective barrier on the face. The experts at La Mer like to call it the “skin bandaid”, because it seals in moisture and helps to soothe everything from redness to burns. While the price tag is definitely steep, a little bit goes a long way so it will last you longer than most other beauty products.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum: I received several messages after I posted about receiving this serum back in January – I didn’t realize it had such a cult following! After doing some research, I found that on the Estée Lauder website it has 5 stars and over 1,300 reviews!! It’s so rare to see such a great rating, especially for skincare (everyones skin is different!). I wanted to use it for a good amount of time before giving my feedback, but after nearly 4 months I can say that this serum is worthy of it’s rave reviews. I’ve been using it religiously every night, and have noticed smoother, more hydrated skin. This is a must have in every woman’s skincare routine!

Face Gym Training Stick: My first opinion of these training sticks was that they seemed super gimmicky – skincare specifically made to be used while working out? It’s safe to say I was very skeptical. However, I’ve been using mine for over a month now and I love it! You apply the stick all over your face just before heading to the gym. The heat and sweat that your body produces during your workout activates the serum, of which there are 4 to choose from. I went with the hydrating multi-vitamin stick and my skin definitely feels softer and appears more dewy post work-out!

Glossier Mint Balm Dotcom: I’m not sure what took me so long to jump on the Glossier bandwagon, but I’m so happy I finally did. I absolutely love their mint lip balm – it leaves a really nice cooling sensation on the lips and isn’t sticky at all. I’ve got my eyes on the Birthday Balm next! Bonus points: they offer free shipping to the UK on orders over £30.

Living Proof PHD Dry Shampoo: I’ve never been someone who is loyal to a dry shampoo brand – I’ve tried countless different brands (from the drugstore to Sephora) and never found one that I loved enough to rebuy. Randomly last month I was at a friends and needed to borrow their dry shampoo, which was the Living Proof PHD dry shampoo. As soon as I sprayed it I knew I’d found my new go-to. Not only does it smell AMAZING, but it leaves my hair feeling clean and fresh. I love it so much I’ve just bought the PHD shampoo and conditioner, which I’ll share my thoughts on after I’ve been using it for a bit longer!

BIGGEST MISS

Patchology Restoring Night Eye Gels: I bought these in the hopes that they could replace my beloved Peter Thomas Roth 24K eye gels (they’re not sold anywhere in the UK and I don’t have any trips back to the states planned). Unfortunately, these Patchology gels didn’t measure up. While they felt nice on and had a soothing cooling effect, they left a weird residue under my eyes which caused pilling. It’s safe to say I won’t be rebuying these!

Have you tried any of these products? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I keep hearing so many great things about about La Mer but just haven’t been able to splurge on it yet. I just might though after your review!
