Today I’m finally sharing my final look from NYFW earlier this month. It’s definitely one of the most daring looks I’ve ever worn!
This post was meant to go up last week, but I was back in Milwaukee for a friends wedding and ended up deciding to take the week off. I did lots of fun American things while I was back, like grocery shop at Trader Joe’s (OMG the cauliflower gnocchi is amazing!) and shop at Nordstrom and Target. It was was a great week! I got back to London on Monday and I’m finally ready to get back into the swing of things.
When I saw this yellow blazer at Zara I knew I had to have it. Since New York wasn’t quite in full fall weather yet, I needed to find a way to make it wearable while not dying of a heatstroke (when I landed in NYC for fashion week it was 100 degrees!!). I decided to pair it with high-waisted denim shorts and a bandeau top. I’ve seen this look on both the streets of London and NYC, but have never thought I could be the one to pull it off. I found it to be surprisingly wearable, and I really like how the final look ended up. Fashion week is such a great time to experiment with new styles or trends – I promise you there will always be someone wearing something crazier than you are!
