Moore Personal

If I’m being 100% honest with you guys, taking a break from the blog last week felt DAMN GOOD. I’ve been putting a lot of (unnecessary) pressure on myself the past few months, and it’s really taken a toll on me. I’ve made mistakes, lost some friendships that I truly valued, and put myself and the blog before anything else aka selfish much? My Instagram is at the lowest engagement it’s had in over a year (just 3 months ago I was getting 1-2k likes on every photo, and now I’m lucky if I break 500). I know that everyone is struggling with the ‘gram these days, but I’ve really felt a lot of anxiety around it. My follower growth has been stagnant, and my passion has been lost. I used be SO excited to post because I felt like I was producing content that others enjoyed, but now everything feels forced (and to be honest, I dread posting on social media – which is why I end up skipping days, sometimes full weeks at a time). And again, I know I’m not the only one facing these social media troubles. It’s all about how you handle it, and I definitely have NOT handled it well. I would love any tips on how you have managed blogging or job-related anxiety!

Moore Weekend

I’m in the Hamptons this weekend, soaking up the sun and eating lobster rolls. Please do not disturb 😉

I loved Brighton’s #NSale post on how to style 6 different fall essentials. It’s so helpful to see the versatility of these great fall basics.

Grace’s activewear picks from the sale are so cute! She has THE BEST athleisure wardrobe!

These white sangria ice pops sound so delish, and perfect for the heat!

This article accusing Amelia Liana of photoshopping herself into dramatic locations across the globe is so ridiculous! (If you don’t follow her, you should! Her feed is gorgeous AND authentic!)

Julia’s colorful post from St. Tropez has me itching to book a flight to the south of France!

I LOVE how Sophie styled orange and blue together in this post. What an unexpected color combo!

I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with anxiety =( If taking a small break from blogging felt that good, maybe you should take some time off? For what it’s worth I love your content! Try to keep your chin up babe!

I really appreciate your honesty, especially your anxiety around social media. I’ve been dealing with the exact same feelings and it can be so discouraging! I think it’s awesome that you took some time off from it all. It’s so important to know when to take a step back…I definitely need to be better at doing this. You are not alone babe!! Keep producing amazing content and being the girl boss that you are!!

Such a great post! Love your honestly and vulnerability. The constant pressure of blogging is a lot. So good to be more rested and refreshed. It’s so hard to keep it all balanced. Love your sale picks. I need that cashmere wrap for sure. That suede jacket is fabulous too. Need to start shopping!

Love the you’re being so real! Insta is definitely a cause for some unnecessary anxiety with all the growth and engagement issues and I’m so sorry to hear that it’s taken such a toll on you. Just know you are definitely not alone and a little break every now and again is good for getting back your passion for blogging!
