Real talk – back when I was looking for a place to stay in LA, I got really overwhelmed. I had never been before, and LA is so big! Did I want to be downtown or near the water? Where were all the LA hotspots I would want to hit up? Luckily a few of my Cali blogger babes recommended I stay in the West Hollywood/ Beverly Hills area. After doing a little research, I landed on the SIXTY Beverly Hills.
The Hotel: The SIXTY Beverly Hills is a luxurious retreat, located right in the heart of Beverly Hills. As soon as I arrived, I was welcomed by an incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. My flight got in at 9am LA time, so my room wasn’t quite ready yet. They graciously stowed my luggage for me while I went upstairs to relax at the rooftop pool. The rooftop space at the SIXTY was probably my favorite part about the hotel. It boasts a gorgeous pool and lounge area with panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills and downtown LA. One level down you’ll find Caulfield’s Bar and Dining, which is the all-hours for casual New American Cuisine Comforts. Cozy up with a glass of wine at one of their many tables and enjoy the view.
The Room: I stayed in a King Deluxe room, and it was even better than I imagined! First of all, the king bed was honestly the most comfortable bed I’ve EVER slept in. I’m sure the 400-thread count Sferra Linens didn’t hurt 😉 But seriously, I had to force myself to get out from under the fluffy quilt in the morning. The bathroom was covered in marble and felt really chic and clean. There were luxurious oversized robes, and bathroom amenities by Ren. I also brought my TULA essentials as well, because I can’t go a day without them! (Use code MOLLIE20 for 20% off your next purchase!). There was also free WiFi, a 55″ flatscreen TV, and a Dean & Deluca snack bar. However, the best part of the room had to be the view. Floor to ceiling windows lead out to a French balcony, where you have sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills. I woke up at 5am because #jetlag, and the sunrise over the hills was something I’ll never forget.
The Location: The main reason I chose to stay at the SIXTY during my trip to LA was for the location – I only had 24 hours before driving down to Palm Springs, so I wanted to ensure I stayed in a location that would help maximize my short trip! Walking doesn’t really seem to be a common way to get around like in NYC, but the SIXTY was just a short 5 minute walk from both SoulCycle and the DryBar. The famed Melrose Ave is less than a 10 minute Uber ride from the hotel, and there were tons of places on Melrose alone that I wanted to check out (especially Alfred Tea Room!). If you want to head to the beach, Venice is just a 20 minute drive. They say location is everything, and the SIXTY Beverly Hills is in the perfect spot!
I absolutely fell in love with LA during my trip, and I know I wouldn’t have had the same experience if I wasn’t staying at the SIXTY Beverly Hills! Who wants to move there with me?!
