Back when I was planning my trip to Palm Springs, picking the hotel was the easiest part. I already knew that I wanted to stay at The Saguaro Palm Springs. And yes, it’s 100% because I’ve seen the most amazing photos of the colorful hotel all over my Instagram #noshame. I’m happy to report that this highly Instagram-able spot lives up to its reputation.
The Saguaro Palm Springs Review:
The Hotel: The Saguaro Palm Springs is a fun and colorful vacay spot located in Palm Springs, California. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly and energetic staff. We arrived late, at 9pm, and were checked in easily and efficiently. I was surprised to find all the amenities that the hotel offers, such as free bike rentals (the cutest little white cruisers with baskets of all different colors – I chose a pink one of course!), a full service spa, a gym, and several bars/ restaurants. While all of that is amazing, the star of the hotel is hands down the pool. It’s probably one of the most Instagram-ed pools ever, and for good reason. The stunning snow-capped mountains act as a backdrop for the pool area, palm trees, and all the rainbow colors of the hotel. Pictures honestly don’t do it justice, it took my breath away! That view alone should be enough to convince you stay at The Saguaro.
The Atmosphere: I don’t usually feel the need to speak to the “vibes” of a hotel, but The Saguaro is an exception! This hotel is unlike anything I’ve ever stayed at. The majority of the crowd is young (21-35), and everyone is there to have a good time (aka party). You almost feel as though you’re on “adult” spring break! I would definitely recommend this spot for a bachelorette party or girls getaway. On weekends there’s a DJ spinning AWESOME music, and you can even bring your own pool floats! One thing I wouldn’t recommend is bringing children. While there were a few kids when I was there, I didn’t find it to be the most kid friendly scene. Between the pool bar drinks flowing and Drake blasting over the speakers, it’s probably not the best environment for little ones. I would leave the kids at home for this trip 😉
Our Room: My mom and I stayed in a Pool View Double Queen Suite. It was perfect for the two of us, and the view from our balcony was beautiful! Keeping in theme with the exterior of the hotel, each of the rooms are super colorful. We were in a green one, but they have a room in every hue. Full disclosure: if you are looking for a luxury resort experience, then this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for a fun and trendy hotel, then look no further! The rooms were simple, clean, and comfy – but you really come to this hotel for the aforementioned atmosphere, not the stunning accommodations. You’ll spend so much time in the pool, that all that matters is you have a place to rest your head haha!
The Location: Palm Springs is a fairly small town, so it’s hard to be in a bad location when you stay here. But with that said, at The Saguaro we were just a short 5 minute drive from places like That Pink Door, Cheeky’s, and Kings Highway. We never drove more than 15 minutes to get anywhere, which was really nice!
I couldn’t have been happier with my stay at The Saguaro Palm Springs, and I hope to go back one day with girlfriends (sorry mom!).
