NYC Apartment Tour

Living in NYC for the past 5 years was truly an amazing opportunity. I lived in the East village my first two years before moving to Murray Hill with Connor in 2015. It took me awhile to figure out how I wanted to decorate, but once I landed on a design style (aka discovered Fixer Upper and wanted to be Joanna Gaines), everything just kind of fell into place. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out, and I will always have a special place in my heart for our first NYC apartment together.

I knew before we moved that I wanted to preserve the memory of our apartment and take some photos to share with you all. It’s honestly still hard for me to accept that this isn’t our home anymore! We lived in an amazing doorman building right on Park Ave, with a great laundry room, elevator, and a large living space. But this is NYC after all, so it’s hard to get everything you want unless you have an unlimited budget. Some things we didn’t have but wished we did include a balcony, an updated bathroom, a bigger / updated kitchen, and better views. But all in all, this apartment was truly perfect for us and where we were in our lives. I joke about wanting to move back to the same building when we eventually return to New York, but I think it’s more than likely we will end up on the Upper East Side.

I hope you enjoy this little tour of our old apartment! I didn’t link any of the pieces as I wanted this to be more about sharing the photos with you all, but if you see something that interests you, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I would be more than happy to share where I found it!
