Is it just me, or does Monday seem to come WAY too quickly?! Wishing I could transport myself back in time to this fabulous brunch set up at Aubaine Selfridges.
When Amanda suggested we do brunch at Aubaine Selfridges, I was more than agreeable. I mean, can you blame me? This place is absolutely stunning. My first Aubaine experience was for dinner a few weeks back, when I got to try their brand new cocktail and dinner menu with my friend Victoria. I had the “Hibiscus Fizz” cocktail and it was amazing – it even changes color at your table! It starts out blue, and then your server will add lemon juice, which instantly turns it to purple – that’s a kind of science I can get behind. Being that we are in London, they also have a unique gin and tonic menu with some really interesting pairings such as elderflower and cucumber. For dinner we had the lobster spaghetti and the croissant burger, both of which I highly recommend! I personally feel like when a restaurant or café is “instagram famous”, it can cause the quality of the food to go down. Luckily with Aubaine that is not the case!
I was excited to come back again for brunch since my first time there was such a great one. Not surprisingly, they delivered an outstanding breakfast experience. I went with the black truffle scrambled eggs (drooling just typing that), and Amanda had the eggs royale. Next time I’m trying the brioche french toast! They even have delicious iced coffee which is a huge plus – iced coffee is very American and it can be hard to find a good iced coffee drink in London.
I think this is definitely going to be a place that I take guests when they come to visit! Mostly because it gives me an excuse to go back 😉
