It’s safe to say that Fall is my favorite season of the year. From the changing leaves to football to pumpkin spice everything – I just can’t get enough of all that fall entails. When it comes to fashion, Barbour is one of my go-to brands when the temps begin to drop.
Fun fact: I got my first Barbour coat from Connor for Christmas a few years back (he even monogrammed my initials on the sleeve!). It quickly became my favorite jacket, and I still wear it all the time. Living in NYC, fall weather can be so unpredictable. A Barbour coat is the perfect layer for those days when it’s not quite cold enough to bring out the old winter parka, but it’s definitely too cold for just a sweater (aka 35 in the morning, but 50 by noon). This year I opted for a piece from their collaboration with Liberty London. I love the beautiful floral fabric on the lining, and the quilting on the inside was a really nice touch.
While the coats are timeless staples for any season, what stands out to me the most about Barbour is the quality of their products. A jacket may be a bit of an investment, but it’s one you will have for many years to come. I know people who have had their Barbour coats for 25+ years! If that doesn’t show you how well their products are made, then I don’t know what will. With the holiday season fast approaching (how is Thanksgiving on Thursday?!), I can say from experience that a Barbour coat is a fantastic gift to both give and receive. Trust me, you’ll find yourself reaching for it all. the. time. 😉
