Hi friends, happy Monday! After a full 7 days of vacation I am SERIOUSLY dragging today. The only thing keeping me going is all my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale goodies that keep arriving at my doorstep – it’s like Christmas! Today I’m sharing my first round of try ons, honest reviews, and also a peek at what I ordered over the weekend. I’ll be shooting a few of these looks this afternoon, but I wanted to give you guys fit info asap because things are selling out, so please excuse the iPhone pics 😉
Multicolor Scarf // $18.90 // After Sale: $29
This scarf is nice and big which I like, and the colors are very fun. For under $20 I think it’s a great buy, but I won’t be keeping it. I really just don’t need another blanket scarf!
Pink Sweater // $24.90 // After Sale: $39 // Size Small
This sweater is a major NO for me. While it’s priced super cheap, it feels it! The fabric is really soft, but it’s ridiculously thin. Like, could see the outline of my bra thin. If you’re looking for a sweater to wear now, then perhaps this could work for you. I was hoping for something much thicker, so I’ll be returning this one. Sizing: Runs TTS.
AG Jeans // $163.90 // After Sale: $245 // Size 26
Ugh, I really wish I hated these jeans. It pains me to pay this much for denim, but sometimes the quality is worth the price tag. In this case, that’s 100% true. These jeans are soft, stretchy, flattering, and unique! I love the step hem, the distressing, and the subtle paint spots. While I really shouldn’t be keeping these, I just can’t send them back. Sizing: I would say they run TTS, but I went down one size to allow for stretch. It depends on how you like your skinnies to fit!
Ugg Boots // $119.90 // After Sale: $180 // Size 8
Okay, so I do like these UGG boots a lot. While they are definitely a bit nicer than my Bailey Bow Boots, they are still too similar. When I ordered them, I thought that they were a sturdier option based on how the sole looked online. Unfortunately, they are pretty much the same as regular UGGs. If I didn’t have a pair, I would be keeping these. I actually like them better than the pair that I have, but I can’t justify keeping them (sad face). Sizing: They run TTS (but not true to UGG sizing! – In standard UGGs I go down a full size to a 7, but these run normally).
Pink Circle Cardigan // $49.90 // After Sale: $75 // Size Small
Yep, LOVE this cardi. Unfortunately the pink color way is already sold out, but keep checking back because they usually restock popular items throughout the sale. It’s super soft, has pockets, and is long enough to cover your butt. I’m thinking about buying the oatmeal color as well!! I recommend you grab one of these before they sell out completely! Sizing: It runs TTS.
White Tunic // $31.90 // After Sale: $48 // Size Small
This is the white button up of my dreams!! It’s suuuuper soft and feels like chambray, it’s not see through at all, and it’s long enough to cover your bum in leggings. At $30, I honestly think this is a steal. I JUST noticed that white is already sold out! But it also comes in a pretty grey color, which I may order too! Sizing: Runs TTS.
Vince Loafers // $164.90 // After Sale: $250 // Size 7.5
Alright, so I told you guys that these loafers were my splurge item from the sale. I’m pretty torn about my thoughts on them to be honest. I LOVE the color, the suede, and the quality of the shoe. They really are beautiful! But I do find them to be a little wide on my feet (I have crazy narrow feet, so I run into this issue often). I’m not sure if this will be a deal breaker or not because they are super comfy, and I know they will go with pretty much everything I own. The verdict is still out on whether I will keep these or not – what do you guys think?! Sizing: They run TTS.
Long Ribbed Cardigan // $59.50 // After Sale: $89 // Size Small
Another fantastic cardigan in the sale. I mentioned on Friday that while this brand is a little pricier, it’s worth it for the quality. This sweater is so thick and cozy, I can’t wait for cooler temps so I can break this baby out. Sizing: I would say that it runs a little large. I’m in a Small, and wish I could exchange it for an XS. Unfortunately this sweater is selling out quickly, so the XS isn’t in stock. I’m going to keep my eye on it though, as I mentioned above, they are constantly replenishing things! If I can’t manage to get my hands on an XS, I’m still going to keep the Small because I love it that much.
Scalloped Shift Dress // $65.90 // After Sale: $99 // Size Small
If you guys caught my try on session on Insta stories, you know that this dress was my biggest surprise so far! And yes – I know it needs to be steamed lol. The fabric is really nice and almost stretchy, and it’s lined so it’s not see through at all. I love the blue color, and the scallop detailing is so sweet. This is great for wearing now with sandals, and will also look adorable in the fall with riding boots and a camel cardigan! Sizing: I would say it runs TTS, but maybe slightly generous. I’m in a Small, but wish I could try on an XS to compare. Unfortunately the XS is already sold out, so I’m thinking I’m going to keep the Small. It’s not crazy big, and it’s definitely comfy. If you can, I would order your normal size and one size down. With Nordstrom’s free shipping and returns policy, it makes it super easy to try on both and then return the one you don’t want!
White Turtleneck Sweater // $45.90 // After Sale: $69 // Size Small
I really really like this sweater. It’s incredibly soft – not itchy AT ALL. The details on the sleeves are so pretty, and I like the small slit on the front. Will I be keeping it? I haven’t decided. I fell in love with a lot of the more expensive things that I ordered, so I have to cut corners elsewhere. If I could keep everything I wanted, then this would definitely be staying with me. But I’m working on a budget, so I think this one may go back. I highly recommend it though, especially if you’re looking for a cozy turtleneck sweater! Sizing: TTS. It does run boxy (that’s the style), so if you want a more fitted look size down.
Longchamp ‘Le Pliage’ Expandable Tote // $129.90 // After Sale: $195
All of the heart eyes for this Longchamp. The pink color way sold out the first day of the sale (seriously!! Us bloggers aren’t kidding when we say the good stuff sells out quick), but there are still a few great neutral colors left. The size is great for everyday when it’s zipped, and when it’s unzipped it’s PERFECT for traveling. It’s not too overwhelmingly large, but you will definitely be able to stuff all those souvenirs in for the way home 😉 See below pics for a size comparison!

PJ Salvage Printed Pajama Set // $58.90 // After Sale: $88 // Size Medium
You guys, I’m so sad about these pajamas. When I ordered them I thought there was no chance I’d be returning them, but sadly I am. The fabric is super soft and comfy, and the print is too cute. The deal breaker for me are the shorts – they are SO freakin short! This is totally a personal preference thing, and the length of the shorts might be fine for others. I personally do not feel comfortable sleeping in booty shorts, so these have to go back. Sizing: I always size up to a Medium in PJs for comfort, and I would definitely recommend it with these. You could maybe even go up 2 sizes, especially if you want the shorts to be a little longer.
Whew, is anyone still with me?! That’s it for today, but I have a few more boxes coming this week that I’m really excited about. I’ve heard amazing things about these faux leather leggings, I’m always looking for comfy bralettes for lounging, I couldn’t pass up this cashmere wrap for travel, I’ve been looking for the perfect flat bootie for fall, I’m loving these pink workout leggings, and how gorgeous is this olive crossbody bag?!
Do you guys like to read these types of try on posts? I would LOVE to get your feedback!! I received a ton of support after my Insta story try on session, so it would be great to hear from you on this post too!
