The Plaza is fabulous at any time of year, but during the holidays it’s extra special. What girl doesn’t love the story of Eloise at Christmastime? And I mean, any movie with Julie Andrews is top notch in my book. The Plaza is such an iconic NYC spot, and I still get starry eyed every time I walk past it. People ask me all the time if I’ve “gotten used” to living in New York, and the answer is both yes and no. It’s true that I’ve learned to navigate the subways by heart, adjusted to the fast paced lifestyle, and found my favorite little corners of the city. However, I definitely still have those moments where I think myself “how cool is it that I get to wake up in the greatest city in the world, every single day?”. Being at the Plaza is always one of those “pinch me” times. Keep reading to hear about what I wore!
When I first saw this jacket in store on Black Friday, I knew it was going to be what I wore for my shoot at the Plaza. I love its lady-like structure and statement making gold buttons, it reminds me of something you might see at Chanel (for a fraction of the price I might add – right now it’s on sale for $120!). I paired it here with festive red accessories, it is the holidays after all! These plaid foldable flats are one of my favorite finds this season. Since they’re 100% foldable, they’re the perfect companion for holiday parties. Stash them in your bag, and bring ’em out when you “just can’t” with your heels anymore. I bet you get more compliments on these than you do on your heels 😉
Does your town have any spots that go all out during Christmas? I’d love to hear about it!
PS – We’ve crossed the 2 week mark! Can you believe it? As per usual, I’ve got next to none of my Christmas shopping done yet. Be sure to check out the ‘holiday’ tab in my menu bar for tons of gift ideas, and stay tuned for some last minute gift guides for all you fellow procrastinators!
