Can you believe Thanksgiving is just over a week away?! I know I can’t! I feel like I’m finally getting back into the swing of things after my amazing trip with Royal Caribbean (more on that later), and in a few days I’ll be traveling again. I really can’t complain though, because I’m always excited to see my family, and as I’ve mentioned before, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays! Whether your family has a dressy or casual holiday, there are pieces in this outfit idea that can work for any occasion. Read on for all the details!
The number one most important thing I consider when planning a Thanksgiving outfit is STRETCHY. PANTS. I always end up eating too much because… stuffing, potatoes, and pie. Not even kidding, I will plan my outfit around leggings (it’s always too cold in Milwaukee for dresses at this time of the year! So jealous of those of who you can go pants free though lol). When I found these black pants, I couldn’t believe how soft and stretchy they were. Honestly, they don’t feel like jeans at all! And are somehow even more comfortable than my most worn in pair of leggings. The best part? They actually look sleek and put together. AKA these pants are your new multitasking BFFs.
For my Thanksgiving look here, I styled them with a super cozy oversized turtleneck, simple black heels, and easy accessories. If you wanted to dress this look up, just swap out the turtleneck for a chic top like this one! And if you want to be more casual, just swap out the heels for flats (loving these mules) or even sneakers such as these.
What does your family typically do for Thanksgiving? Mine changes from year to year depending on whose hosting it, but it’s never formal. I always love hearing about other families traditions!
