Fall Wedding Style

Over the weekend I was home in Milwaukee, not just for a Labor Day trip, but also because my cousin was getting married! I love dressing for fall weddings because you have so many different options. You can play around with textures, sleeve length, fabrics, etc. The summer can be limiting, when it gets hot all you want is a dress that will keep you as cool as possible. But for fall, you can really play around! I decided to use Rent the Runway for the wedding because their fall arrivals are to die for!! And because I didn’t want to spend $200+ on a dress I’d never wear again 😉

Bell Sleeve Dress | Beaded Earrings | Black Clutch | Strappy Sandals | Cat-Eye Sunnies

As soon as I saw this bell sleeved number I knew it was perfect. Everything from the navy and black stripes (one of my favorite color combos!) to the lace detailing is simply stunning. However, I also ordered this one and this one as backups, and they both surprised me!! I even packed the OTS Jill Stuart dress with me, just in case I changed my mind last minute. It’s rare that I find three dresses I would be more than happy to wear to the occasion. I wasn’t kidding when I said that RTR has some amazing pieces for fall. And can we talk about these show-stopping beaded Kenneth Jay Lane earrings? They are only $10 to rent ya’ll! You read that right, $10. I didn’t want to send this outfit back!
Some top trends to look for when you’re shopping for your wedding attire this season are:
1.) Bell sleeves
2.) Special details (ruffles, embroidery, embellishment, etc.)
3.) Velvet
4.) Jumpsuits (I almost ordered this one as another backup option!)
5.) Off the shoulder styles
