Travel Diary: Atlanta

As some of you may know, I was in Atlanta last week and had an absolute blast! I’ve never been before, and was blown away by all the cute little shops and restaurants. I wanted to create a post to share some of my favorite places with you guys. If you ever find yourself in Atlanta you must check out these spots! Let me know if you have any questions about where I went or my favorite local shops! I can give you tons of recommendations 🙂

The cherry blossom trees were blooming while we were there, and they are STUNNING! I snapped this pic while shopping at the Shops Around Lenox. It’s this cute little shopping area that’s right across from Lenox Mall. I recommend stopping by both The Impeccable Pig and Kendra Scott stores!

The comfiest travel #ootd! I wore this on the plane to Atalanta. All details are linked through my LIKEtoKNOW.it account (liketk.it/astylishsideproject) and also in the “shop” section of my blog!

While I was in Atlanta, I had the pleasure of meeting designer Mollie Burch of CROSBY by Mollie Burch! Her stuff is absolutely stunning, check out my blog post for more, and her website is here. I met her at Dancing Goats Coffee, which is this awesome coffee shop with a killer outdoor patio. It even has couch swings!! And arguably the best chai latte I’ve had in awhile. For all you coffee lovers out there, this place is a great stop!

Conveniently located right next to Dancing Goats Coffee is the Ponce City Market. This place is my favorite place I went to!! It used to be an abandoned old sears building, until the same architect who built the Chelsea Market in NYC took it over. It now houses some amazing shops, restaurants, and lofts. They have stores like J.Crew and Anthropologie, and also have numerous local boutiques! It’s safe to say I did some serious damage here 😉 They also have a pretty awesome food hall with tons of unique and delicious local eats.

Attached to the Ponce City Market is the BeltLine (very similar to the High Line in NYC). If you turn right out of Ponce City, it will take you all the way to Piedmont Park. If you turn left, you can walk a little less than a mile and reach Krog Street Market. This place is another must see! It is an indoor market that houses restaurants, ice cream shops, and little stores. They also have an amazing brewery where you can make your own beer! We ate at the Tex Mex restaurant Superica and it was AMAZING! Just thinking about it gets my mouth watering!

While in town I stopped by GlowDry in Buckhead for some fabulous hair! This was one of my favorite blow out experiences ever. As soon as I was greeted I was offered an expresso from their expresso machine. My stylist then presented me with an iPad that had all the different styles you could choose from. I went with the loose curls. After a relaxing scalp massage during my hair wash, I was presented with the iPad again while she styled my hair. They are filled with the current issues of every magazine you could want! I happily read the latest Harper’s Bazaar while my stylist got to work. An hour later, I was strutting out of there with some fancy new hair! They also offer updos and makeup as well.

My stylist also gets major bonus for snapping this awesome shot for me! I HIGHLY recommend working this spot into your schedule while in ATL. It will likely be my first stop off the plane on my next visit!

Piedmont Park is a classic ATL must-see attraction. It has some beautiful views of downtown Atlanta, and is a great place to relax and enjoy that gorgeous southern weather. As I mentioned before, it also connects to the BeltLine, so you can easily get to Ponce City Market or Krog Street Market (if you are up for a good walk!). This is definitely a great place to go on a sunny afternoon.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading about my Atlanta trip! Have you ever been to any of these places? Let me know what you thought!!
